Technology Innovation Roadmaps: Consulting industry to define the sector’s innovation priorities

The Offshore Wind Innovation Hub’s technology roadmaps identify the innovation needs of the offshore wind sector. They have been built in collaboration with industry and academia and identify the key challenges and priorities for offshore wind.

Convene supply chain innovators to respond to sector challenges most effectively

We are constantly working to showcase the latest information on the most relevant activities, events and conferences happening in the offshore wind sector right now.

Stimulate UK activity in the offshore wind market, both locally and internationally

Find out how we are engaging with companies, large and small, industry and academia to collaboratively develop ideas into market-ready technology.

Inform government of sector priorities and provide evidence base for funding opportunities

UK organisations can access a number of different funding streams, both domestic and international, which provide support for innovation projects and programmes.

The Hub does not provide funding directly but maintains a list of upcoming and current funding opportunities for those looking to develop products or services for the sector.

Meet the Team

The Innovation Hub is being delivered jointly by industry experts from ORE Catapult and the Innovate UK’s Knowledge Transfer Network who have extensive cross-sector track records and experience.

The Technical Advisory Group (“TAG”)

The Technical Advisory Group (TAG) is made up of senior technology leaders from all parts of the UK offshore wind industry, research organisations, and the supply chain.

The TAG’s purpose is to provide the Innovation Hub with views from industry on innovation priorities and to feedback outcomes from funded innovation projects.
